Melissa Grimes

Melissa’s desire to help others achieve total wellness is what led her to find her “calling” to become a massage therapist. She is passionate about helping others achieve mental clarity and deep relaxation through the techniques that she’s developed since 2012. She graduated from the Central Maryland School of Massage in 2012 and has worked in a spa setting since 2013. Melissa offers a traditional Swedish massage with Lomi Lomi influences and incorporates stretching into her sessions. She likes utilizing hot stones during her treatments as well. Due to her nurturing nature, she thoroughly enjoys working with prenatal and postpartum clients.

On a personal note, Melissa is a busy mom to a daughter and 3 sons and has been married to her husband for 11 years. She enjoys coaching her daughter’s volleyball team and 2 of her son’s soccer teams. She also enjoys volunteering at her children's schools for various field trips and other events. She loves cooking and hosting holidays and parties at their home with family and friends. Melissa is somewhat of a wanderlust as she thrives on traveling and seeing different parts of the world. She also loves music and the expression of it through dance, so attending concerts is a must. She enjoys being in nature, so you can find her planting flowers, tending to her mini pond, maintaining her tomato and pepper plants or primitive camping. She feels most grounded and peaceful when visiting the beach with her feet buried in the sand and the waves calling her name.
